Critical assessment of ion loss mechanisms for L-Htransition

T P Kiviniemi, J A Heikkinen, A G Peeters, T Kurki-Suonio, S K Sipilä2000年Plasma Physics and Controlled FusionIF 2.2出版社

Monte Carlo ion simulation of the tokamak edge, based on the neoclassicalradial current balance, shows that a considerable E×B shear, relevantfor turbulence suppression, can be generated by orbit losses. In contrast toearlier orbit loss models, no spontaneous bifurcation of the radial electricfield Er is found. However, a bifurcation and a solitary Ergeneration are found in simulations with electrode polarization.
