AbstractThe dielectronic recombination process from Li-like to Be-like ions is studied. The radiative transition probability (Ar) and autoionization rate (Aa) from the doubly excited states 1s22pnl of the C2+ ion and those from the 1s22pnl and 1s23lnl′ states of the Fe22+, ion are calculated with the use of Cowan's code. For large n, extrapolation is adopted for Ar and Aa. Furthermore, the dielectronic recombination rate coefficient to the excited state 1s22snl is obtained from Ar and Aa. It is found that the dielectronic recombination process to the highly excited states dominates for the C2+ ion, whereas for the Fe22+ ion that to the low bound state dominates.
