The beam target fusion reactivity for a monoenergetic beam in a Maxwellian target is approximately evaluated for non-resonant reactions. The approximation is accurate for the D-D and T-T fusion reactions to better than 4% for all beam energies up to 300 keV and all ion temperatures up to two-thirds of the beam energy.
