The multiconfiguration Dirac–Hartree–Fock method was used to obtain accurate atomic spectra data of N II, N I, and O I. Based on the local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE) model, partition function, population, and abundance were analyzed for N II, N I, and O I. The effects of plasma environment (electron temperature, electron density, and abundance) and of plasma models (coronal equilibrium model, collisional–radiative model, and LTE) on the calculations of intensity of spectral lines were investigated. An experimentally measured spectrum for lightning plasma was obtained, and its spectral simulation using the LTE model was derived. For the spectral lines of N II, N I, and O I appearing in the lightning spectrum, their multi-spectral intensity ratios among , , and were studied for various and values based on the LTE model. Furthermore, the lightning plasma parameters ( and ) were determined to be about 1.9410 cm and 24367 K, respectively.
