The first IAEA-sponsored Workshop on Neutral Injectors was held at Culham Laboratory from 26th to 30th June 1978. Approximately 60 people attended representing essentially all the major laboratories with extensive programmes in the field. The subject area was limited to neutral-beam sources based on positive ions, specifically for injection into fusion systems, although we did have one survey talk by Dr. Sluyters on negative-ion systems.
