Fusion materials research has been one of the major research areas in the UTBLT Project of the University of Tokyo. The materials research has been focused on heavy radiation effects in metallic first wall materials. The research has been carried out using a 100 kV light ion accelerator/400 kV heavy ion accelerator/200 kV electron microscope complex at the UTBLT facility. Research closely connected to this has been performed using the HIT facility, a 3.75 MV Van de Graaff accelerator/1 MV Tandetron accelerator, as well as using neutrons from RTNS-II, JMTR and JOYO. A brief summary of the major accomplishments in the past ten years will be given together with the associated activity on materials data base systems.
