The presentations at the 5th IAEA Technical CommitteeMeeting on alpha driven instabilities are summarized. Particularemphasis is given to the comparison between experimental results andtheoretical predictions. Progress in linear and non-linear theoriesof alpha driven instabilities is also briefly described.
