A procedure allowing the electron transport coefficients induced by the turbulence detected in tokamaks to be estimated by microwave scattering is discussed. It is assumed that this turbulence consists of electrostatic drift modes. The potential of each mode of given frequency ω and toroidal wave number M is expanded as a sum of components αℓf(r-rℓ) exp i(ωt + Mφ + ℓθ), each of these being resonant on the magnetic surface of radius rℓ. The transport coefficients induced by the mode may be estimated from the correlations and the structure of the function f(r'), which themselves are closely related to the (Kr, Kθ) Fourier spectra of the electron density fluctuation measured by microwave scattering. Application to the available data obtained in TFR shows that the heat transport consistent with the overall balance may be explained by the detected turbulence only if a strong correlation between the s is present.
