AbstractOn the basis of the coupled transport/hydrodynamic calculation, nonthermal nuclear reactions such as neutron elastic scattering, deuteron break-up reactions, nuclear elastic scattering of a-particles and suprathermal fusion reactions are examined to obtain the realistic energy spectrum of neutrons escaping from laser-imploded DT pellets. It is shown that the measurement of the yield ratio of the energetic neutrons above 24 MeV to the total neutrons gives information about the pR value of imploded DT pellets.
