This paper summarizes the contributions to the EU-US workshop on transport in fusion plasmas, held in Gothenburg, Sweden, 7-10 September 1998. Its organization reflects that of the workshop itself, namely the six sessions: core transport scalings, stellarator-RFP-tokamak comparisons, fluctuations, improved confinement, transient transport and edge-core relations.
