A source capable of producing dense plasma clusters moving with highvelocity is investigated. Parameters of the source could be acceptablefor many fusion or confinement plasma experiments as a fuel or plasmasource. The source generates a cluster of plasma density exceeding1022 m-3 with a total number of released particles in therange 1017-1021, the efficiency of ionization reaches90% and the flow velocity of the plasma is ⩾10 km s-1.
