One opportunity for exchanging information on Lasers, Plasma and Related Phenomena, such as Laser Compression for nuclear fusion or extremely high interaction intensities, has been the series of Workshop-Conferences organized at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute beginning in 1969. The 4th meeting, 8–12 November, 1976, brought together more than 70 participants from 13 countries (Argentine, Australia, Brazil, Canada, England, France, Federal Republic of Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, USA and the USSR), where 53 scientific papers were discussed under the sponsorship of RPI and ERDA.
レーザー、プラズマおよび関連現象に関する情報交換の機会の一つとして、1969年よりレンセラー工科大学で開催されてきたワークショップ会議シリーズがある。第4回会合は1976年11月8日から12日にかけて開催され、13カ国（アルゼンチン、オーストラリア、ブラジル、カナダ、イギリス、フランス、西ドイツ、インド、イスラエル、イタリア、日本、アメリカ、ソ連）から70名以上の参加者が集まり、RPIおよびERDAの後援のもと、53件の科学論文が討議された。
