The effect of first wall reflectivity on synchrotron radiation loss intokamak reactors of arbitrary geometry is discussed. A commonly employed approximationis revisited, in the light of a recent accurate scaling law for global synchrotronloss in tokamaks of arbitrary geometry. It is shown that the synchrotron loss expected inreactors with highly reflecting wallsis reduced with respect to previous estimates.
