The possibility of stable, induced thermonuclear combustion with a positive energy yield in tokamaks at plasma temperatures of T ∼ 10–20 keV is demonstrated. The analysis takes into account the nonideality of high-energy α-particle confinement in the plasma column. Neoclassical and empirical formulas are used to describe transport processes in the plasma.
