The understanding of fluctuations and transport in the reversed field pinch (RFP) has been enhanced substantially. In this summary of results, the authors focus upon those which are not only useful for RFP understanding, but which are new to fusion plasma physics as a whole. Hence, in the area of fluctuations they report on new measurements of current density fluctuations, flow velocity fluctuations, and radial dependence of the wave vectors. These measurements all support the interpretation of the low frequency fluctuations as tearing modes, and show that high frequency fluctuations are localized, resonant turbulence. Three wave nonlinear coupling of the tearing modes have been measured directly using bispectral analysis of magnetic fluctuations. Qualitative agreement is obtained with predictions of nonlinear MHD.
