The ion fluxes and mean energies and the ion density of the plasma in the scrape-off region of TFR 600 have been obtained by exposing clean carbon probes to the plasma for different numbers of discharges. A comparison of the amount of deuterium trapped in the probes with the amount of deuterium trapped in such probes under well defined bombardment conditions provides information on the plasma parameters.
