The linear growth rate of low-frequency drift instabilities is calculated numerically. The calculations also yield information on the following parameters of the unstable waves: wavelengths, frequency, and phases between the fluctuations in potential, density and temperature. On the basis of the networks of constant growth rate curves it is possible to study how stability is affected by the Debye length, the mass ratio, the temperature anistropy and the temperature gradients.
