The author studies the evolution of non-neutral plasma with sharp boundary in a strong magnetic field. The matrix elements for surface mode interactions are obtained. It is shown that the nonlinear frequency shift yields to the acceleration of the instability. Stationary V-states connected with the second-harmonic generation are described.
