In a recent paper, I cited the work of Hsu and Sigmar as an illustration that the choice of collisionality ordering can affect the results of a calculation of poloidal density and velocity asymmetries. In their Comment, Connor et al. argue that the Hsu-Sigmar strong collisionality regime (Δ ∼ 1) is irrelevant for JET and that, even if it were relevant, I ∼ O() would not lead to significant gyroviscous momentum damping because Vθ ∼ O(δVth).
