Similarity and instability in a wake

Yu V Medvedev2008年Plasma Physics and Controlled FusionIF 2.2出版社

A wake behind a fast moving body is studied by computer simulation. Similarity of plasma flows around bodies of different sizes is illustrated. A two-stream instability appears far from the body and gradually changes to a set of phase space holes. The ion and electron densities in a hole are appreciably lowered.
