The authors report results from nonlinear and quasilinear simulations of high beta large aspect ratio Tokamak plasmas. They find long time steady states in which low number MHD activity, dissipation and heating give consistent pressure profiles. The ratios of average pressure to peak pressure, and of inversion radius to wall radius are proportional to the wall rotational transform, 1/qa. The dominant effect is caused by the m=n=1 mode, but other low m, n modes are also important. The pressure profile is insensitive to the heating profile.
