AbstractThe Tritium Plasma Experiment is an rf heated plasma device capable of operating with many gases including tritium. The primary purpose of this facility is to provide data to the fusion community on the interaction of tritium plasmas with solid materials. Over the last several years, the research has been concentrated on the plasma-driven permeation and retention of tritium in candidate fusion reactor materials including both metals and graphite.
