Very-low-q discharges, i.e. qa <2, are investigated in DIVA. No current disruption is observed with these values of qa. The average energy confinement time is dominated by sawtooth oscillations, but an Alcator-like scaling as continues making the confinement times for a wide variety of discharge conditions scale as , where ahalfis the half-radius of the electron temperature profile.
