Confinement in beam heated high Bp discharges in DITE

This paper describes experiments which demonstrate that a change in the boundary conditionscan change the behaviour of high βp, beam heated discharges in DITE. In particular datawill be presented from discharges which clearly do not exhibit the soft βp limit.
