A general expression is derived for the heat flux from a plasma column due to Coulomb collisions of electrons trapped in an electrostatic potential wave. In a particular case, when the electrons are trapped in drift waves, the calculated coefficient of electron thermal diffusivity is in qualitative agreement with the coefficient obtained by processing experimental data from a Tokamak system.
