Advanced scenarios in JT-60U: integration towards a reactor relevant regime

M Kikuchi, the JT-60 Team2001年Plasma Physics and Controlled FusionIF 2.2出版社

JT-60U has conducted extensive experiments for 17 years to achieve equivalentbreak-even conditions and to establish the scientific and technological basisof ITER and future DEMO reactors such as SSTR. Two types of advancedscenarios, high βp H-mode (with weak positive shear) and RS mode (negativeshear), are developed in JT-60U. High performance discharges are maintainedby full non-inductive current drive, primary with neutral beam current drive. The results are quite promising in demonstrating principle of steady-statetokamak operation. The research clarified many important issues for futurestudies.
