AbstractIt was planned to move a stub rf terminator during rf injection for producing a good impedance matching of an antenna with a few plasma shots in JT-60 ICRF heating experiment. A choke stub was adopted to effect this operation. Rf leakage and high power performance were the major subject in the research and development of the choke stub. For the design of the choke plunger, a simple analytical model was developed to calculate the rf leakage of the plunger. The validity of the model was demonstrated by rf leakage measurements.
