The nonlinear saturation mechanism of resistive drift-Alfvén instability in a current-carrying magnetized cylindrical plasma is investigated. Sheared flow generated by the nonlinear resistive drift-Alfvén instability is an essential ingredient for the saturation, which almost suppresses the dominant linear instability.Sometimes, although the generated sheared flow reduces the linear growthrates of the most unstable mode, it destabilizes the other harmonics.
