An overview on the current status of Japanese fusion nuclear technology (FNT) effort is presented including: the scheme and role of organizations, R&D schedule and design goals for Fusion Experimental Reactor and its succeeding facilities, categories and missions of FNTs, R&D activity topics, available equipments, international cooperation programs etc. Also, the framework of the plan to enhance fundamental research on FNT is reviewed, in view of the growing necessity of closer cooperation among all sectors.
日本の核融合技術（FNT）の取り組みの現状に関する概要が提示される。これには、組織のスキーム、核融合実験炉およびその後継施設のための研究開発スケジュールと設計目標、FNTsのミッション、研究開発活動のトピック、利用可能な設備、国際協力などが含まれる。また、すべての部門間の緊密な協力の必要性が高まっていることに鑑みて、FNTに関する基礎研究を強化するための計画の枠組みがレビューされる。
