Longitudinal dielectric constant of the classical plasma — II

We study the contribution of electron-electron correlations to ε (k, ω), by considering the case of a one component plasma. This contribution is compared to that due to the electron-ion correlations. A resonance effect is found at ω = 2 ωp. From ε (k, ωp) we derive a formula for the damping of the plasma oscillations.
