AbstractThe paper deals with the coil power supplies for ITER-FEAT and focuses on the topics related to their interface with the HV grid, which provides the required pulsed electric power. The availability of a suitable HV grid is assumed. The technical solutions addressed to the limitation of the reactive power consumption are described along with the means for reactive power compensation and active power shedding. The adaptation of the power supply reference design to a site supplied by a HV grid, with capabilities lower than the site assumptions, is discussed.
