A one-dimensional variational principle for the stability of external kink modes in a free-boundary high-β tokamak with skin currents is derived by the application of conformal mapping techniques. It is shown that these modes are stable above a certain critical value of aεβp if the wall is sufficiently close to the plasma.
コンフォーマル写像の手法を適用することにより、表皮電流を有する自由境界高βトカマクにおける外部キンクモードの安定性に関する一次元変分原理が導出される。これらのモードは、壁がプラズマに十分近い場合、aεβpの特定の臨界値以上で安定であることが示される。
