AbstractThis paper describes the data acquisition, analysis, and graphics display system developed for the ALT-II toriodal belt pump limiter experiment on the TEXTOR tokamak. The general layout and control of the serial CAMAC data serial highway serving the various diagnostics is given. In addition, key features of the data processing network which provide flexibility and compatibility between the data analysis and display programs are emphasized. Data reduction program considerations relevant to edge plasma diagnostics used with ALT-II and other controlled fusion experiments are included.
