Polarization of impurity ion emission lines from the GAMMA 10tandem mirror plasma

T Inoue, M Nakai, A Tanaka, K Kawakami, A Iwamae, T Fujimoto, M Yoshikawa, T Ito, T Tamano2001年Plasma Physics and Controlled FusionIF 2.2出版社

By using a calcite plate and a bundle of optical fibres, theentrance surfaces of which are aligned in two columns, we resolved the twolinearly polarized components of the emission lines. We found significantpolarization for the Fe II and Cr I lines, while the O V lines showed littlepolarization. This finding suggests that the electron velocity distribution issignificantly anisotropic at the periphery of the plasma.
