Study of impurity behaviour during JET radiative boundaryexperiments

The transport of light impurity ions is investigated following neon andnitrogen gas puffing in JET ELMy H-mode. Upon achieving consistency amongvarious ion radiation diagnostics through numerical simulations, theexperimental ion transport coefficients are compared with the predictions ofneoclassical theory at different regions of the plasma. The convectiondominates the transport and, in the core, the transport coefficients approachthe neoclassical value.
