AbstractBased on analysis of obtained results and reference reviews a phenomenological model of interaction between the components in Li [Ca]–V [O] system is presented. The model depicts a cyclic process. The cycle consists of: (I) oxygen transfers from a vanadium into lithium and calcium depositions on the vanadium surface; (II) CaO layer grows while simultaneously titanium oxide dissolve and oxygen and titanium spread into the solid solution; (III) the liquid metal penetrates into the solid metal according to the mechanism of reactionary diffusion; (IV) meta-stable triple oxide decays; external CaO oxide recovers.
