Integrated modeling of ITER steady-state scenarios

J Garcia, G Giruzzi, J F Artaud, V Basiuk, J Decker, F Imbeaux, Y Peysson, M Schneider2008年Plasma Physics and Controlled FusionIF 2.2出版社

A new concept of steady-state scenario for a tokamak reactor is presented, which provides a solution of principle to the well-known problem of alignment of self-generated and non-inductively driven currents in the presence of an internal transport barrier. An effective control parameter is identified as the driven current at the barrier location, and the existence of a threshold in this parameter is demonstrated. This concept is applied in simulations to obtain a steady-state scenario within the specifications of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor.
