AbstractElectron cyclotron emission (ECE) measurements are used to investigate the changes in the electron temperature profile during on axis and off axis EC-heating in TJ-II stellarator. The modifications of the electron temperature profiles are discussed and compared with the predictions of ray tracing calculations. Recently, the two gyrotrons (PECRH ≤600 kW) were simultaneously applied for the plasma heating in TJ-II. ELM-like events are clearly observed in these plasmas. A first description of these phenomena is also presented.
