Heat and particle transport in the boundary plasmas during H-mode in JT-60U

K Itami, N Asakura, S Tsuji, M Shimada1994年Plasma Physics and Controlled FusionIF 2.2出版社

Heat flux and particle flux exhaust during ELMy H-mode were investigated using infrared TV camera, Langmuir probes and Halpha detectors. The peak heat flux density reaches 400MW/m2 and most of the power is deposited within a few milliseconds with PNB approximately 10MW. While the scrape-off layer (SOL) current usually flows from the outer divertor to the inner divertor during ELM, occasional reversed current at the outer SOL layer accompanies broader heat flux profile.
