Further analysis of the electron cyclotron current drive experiments on RTP

E. Westerhof, R.W. Polman, G.M.D. Hogeweij, J. Lok, F.C. Schüller2001年Fusion Engineering and DesignIF 1.7出版社

AbstractThree methods are employed to obtain estimates of the non-inductive current during the electron cyclotron current drive (ECCD) experiments in the Rijnhuizen Tokamak Project (RTP) tokamak, (1) by estimates of the inductive currents; (2) through analysis of MHD activity (or absence thereof); (3) via its effect on the absence or presence of transport barriers. Driven currents of up to 20 kA were found with co-drive. For counter injection, only a small counter-driven current or even a net co drive was found. However, significant amounts of counter current were found to be driven locally.
