The Conference, which was organized by the Polish Academy of Sciences, was attended by 99 scientists from different countries (55 from Poland, 19 from USSR, 7 from the USA, 6 from Federal Republic of Germany, 5 from France, 4 from the United Kingdom, 2 from Czechoslovakia and 1 from Switzerland). 52 papers were presented.
