The ideal-MHD properties of the ISX-B plasmas are investigated. Equilibria that closely match the experimental data are used in this study. These equilibria are found to be marginally stable, within the accuracy of the calculation, to modes with low toroidal mode number. They are also stable to ideal ballooning modes, but close to the marginal point.
