AbstractThe scaling laws of energy confinement time, as assessed in the Conceptual Design Activity of ITER, are described. Major results in the ITER activity are the establishement of a common confinement database, and proposed uncertainty factors in L-mode confinement scaling. A preliminary result of H-mode confinement scaling has also been obtained.
