A model describing tritium release from Li2O was presented to explain the results obtained in the in-situ tritium release experiments (TTTEx) performed at the University of Tokyo. This model includes the desorption process as well as diffusion process of tritium. Two different kinds of tritium chemical species (HT and HTO) are considered. This model can explain the dependences of the released chemical form and tritium residence time on the sweep gas composition used in the series of the experiments.
