The minimum dissipation states of a tokamak-like plasma sustained byhelicity injection are determined. The Ohmic energy dissipation rate isminimized using the helicity balance as a constraint and consideringdifferent resistivity values in the directions parallel and perpendicularto the magnetic field inside the plasma. The resulting Euler-Lagrangeequations are solved, assuming axial symmetry, for different values of theratio between the parallel and perpendicular resistivities(η∥/η⊥). It is shown that previously publishedresults are not completely correct and that the radial profile of µ0jφ/Bφ (the ratio between the toroidal current densityand the toroidal magnetic field) changes significantly whenη∥/η⊥ decreases.
