The International Conference on Plasma Physics, held from 6 to 12 April 1987 in Kiev, was organized by the Institute for Theoretical Physics and the Institute for Metal Physics of the Ukrainian SSR Academy of Sciences, supported by the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (P.N. Lebedev Physical Institute, Institute of General Physics, Space Research Institute, Institute of Nuclear Physics, Siberian Branch) and sponsored by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP).
1987年4月6日から12日までキエフで開催されたプラズマ物理学国際会議は、ウクライナSSR科学アカデミーの理論物理学研究所および金属物理学研究所によって組織され、ソ連科学アカデミー（P.N. レベデフ物理学研究所、一般物理学研究所、宇宙研究所、原子核物理学研究所、シベリア支部）の支援を受け、国際純粋・応用物理学連合（IUPAP）の後援を受けた。
