Nonlinear effects in LH wave-plasma interaction

L Krlín, P Pavlo, R Pánek, R Klíma, V Petrzílka2002年Plasma Physics and Controlled FusionIF 2.2出版社

The mechanism of stochastization of particle motion ina spatially localizedmonochromatic lower hybrid wave of high amplitude is discussed.Such a model of interaction enables simple analytic formulation and numerical elaboration;the mechanism of thestochastization is caused by the nonintegrability of the correspondingHamiltonian. Using this simple model, we discuss theeffects connected with the anomalous interaction, namely the acceleration ofelectrons with velocities far from the phase velocity, the stochasticitythreshold of the interaction, and the change ofthe distribution function of accelerated electrons. Statistical analysis of theparticle dynamics shows the possibility of the generation of the bump-on-taildistribution function. This paper also discusses the conditions under which thepresented model is relevant.
